1. Core Privacy Principle: 100% Offline, On-Device

SlumberDoze has been built local-first from day one. The app requires no account, does not depend on network communication, runs no user-data collection servers, and never tracks your personal identity (IDFA/cookies).

2. Microphone Permission and On-Device Acoustic Monitoring

When you enable sleep monitoring during a session, SlumberDoze calculates ambient sound energy levels in real time in on-device memory only, in order to detect relaxed breathing at sleep onset and sudden snoring highlights at night. All acoustic clips are stored solely in your phone’s local sandbox and are never uploaded to any cloud server. You can erase all audio at any time with one tap in Settings › Data Management.

3. Apple Health Data Exchange

If you grant Apple HealthKit permission, SlumberDoze writes only your session start and end times as Sleep Analysis, and meditation minutes as Mindful Session, securely into Apple’s Health database. SlumberDoze does not read any unrelated health metrics.

4. In-App Purchases and Apple ID

All payments and entitlement receipts are processed and encrypted by Apple’s App Store (StoreKit). The developer never has access to your card number or financial details.

5. Your Control Over Data and Right to Erasure

You have full control over your sleep data at all times. Tapping Settings › Clear All Records instantly erases the local database and every audio clip. Uninstalling the app also causes iOS to destroy all local sandbox data automatically.
